Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, birth date, or other detail entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its result. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, the message is kept as needed to respond. It is not disclosed outside our organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and analytics operations can collect technical facts when a page loads:
- Your device's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device class and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- A referring site, when supplied
- The date and time of each view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure traffic, popular pages, and points where visits end. Analytics services combine this usage data. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how parts of the service function.
What We Do With This Data
- Operate the service and maintain reasonable performance
- Route a submitted query to the selected outside provider
- Understand which resources visitors use
- Diagnose errors and other technical faults
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
We do not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of warrants or personal warrant records. The content identifies official Grand County routes, including the District and County Courts, municipal clerks, the Grand County Clerk of Court, Sheriff Records, and Detentions. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside businesses operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is handled under that provider's privacy policy, rather than this policy. Each provider decides its retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Grand County, Colorado Judicial Branch, municipal court, police, sheriff, legal-aid, or outside search-provider sites. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's privacy rules apply. Read them before supplying personal information.
Advertising providers may also use their own systems to measure activity across sites and select ads. We do not control that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be provided to:
- Search providers that process a query
- Analytics vendors measuring use and performance
- Advertising networks placing ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect the information collected. No internet system can be guaranteed secure, however. We work to limit risk but cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than eighteen. If we learn that a minor supplied such data, we will delete it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may permit a person to exercise rights over personal data. Colorado's Criminal Justice Records Act, C.R.S. §§24-72-301 through 24-72-309, and Open Records Act, C.R.S. §§24-72-201 through 24-72-206 govern access to many official records held by criminal-justice agencies and public bodies. They do not turn this private site into the custodian of Grand County court, municipal, or Sheriff records. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request a copy of personal data we retain
- Ask that inaccurate data be corrected
- Request deletion of eligible data
- Object to certain processing where a legal right applies
